I was fired from my job for the second time in a year, and after four months of searching for a new project, I came up with an idea for my own.
I started by buying a folding seat from Skoda Roomster and went to the village to craft.
Every evening ended in frustration, and every morning began with a simple decision that forced me to forget about breakfast, redo everything and improve it.

May 2025
After taking measurements from the previous one and creating a 3D model, I ordered metal and fittings to assemble the frame of the functional prototype.
The first test run revealed a lack of rigidity at the joints when braking hard, but I fixed this by installing stronger connections.
Next, I ordered plywood cut according to my blueprints, and I did the smoothing and varnishing myself.

After making sure that everything worked, I hired a furniture designer to make the box look more attractive.
At that point, it seemed that there were only a couple of weeks left before the order could be shipped, but it turned out that there were many problems, experiments, and hours of work between the design concept and the finished product.
The most difficult thing was to combine compactness and a comfortable fit for everyone.
